A True Witness to the Evolution of China's Tourism Industry
In 1983，a girl named Aurelia Kong was born in Liucheng which is a mountain village in Liuzhou (Guangxi province). She grew up in a family that adhered to traditional patriarchal values. Her shared the dual pressures of farm work and schooling with her brother. When her father refused to pay her tuition for junior high school, the brother resolutely dropped out of school to work, supporting his sister junior high school education with his meager wages.

Schooling – A Rebellious Choice: The Path to Freedom through Tour Guiding
At the age of 16, Aurelia did not follow the traditional Chinese educational path. Instead, she chose to study tour guiding at a technical school with extremely excellent grades, rather than attending high school. While studying, she also led tour groups. From being a tour guide to becoming the student union president,Aurelia broke gender biases with her professional skills. – "Leading tours through mountains and rivers, I finally understood what true freedom is." She said in her graduation speech. -

Employment – Setting Records in Hot Spring Tourism
In 2008, Aurelia joined Hot Spring Home and Rising Sun Travel Agency, marking the beginning of an accelerated phase in her career. She keenly seized the opportunities of mobile internet. In 2010, Aurelia collaborated with Meituan to launch hot spring tourism products, setting an industry record for daily sales of ten thousand rooms. -

Entrepreneurship – The Birth of Kungfu Journeys (The Ultimate Practice of Kungfu Healing)
In 2024, driven by shared values and a passion for travel, Aurelia co-founded Kungfu Journeys Travel Agency Co., Ltd. (Shenzhen) with five individuals from different regions, beliefs, and ethnicities. The mountains and rivers have given her strength and passion. She deeply understand that life is a journey of trials and self-cultivation. The past experiences of poverty, workplace setbacks, emotional challenges, and entrepreneurial hardships have all been precious trials.
